Reinstall from PC Settings

If you have a Windows 10 computer, it will allow you to change your current version of the operating system and reinstall a new one. If you do this, you can delete your files for a fresh reinstall or just keep them. To begin the process, follow the steps below.

 1. On your computer, go to the bottom-left side of your screen and look for the button with a Windows logo. This is the Windows Start menu. Click it to proceed.

 2. You will see a gear-shaped icon in the Windows Start menu, click it to go to the Windows Settings.

 3. In the Windows Settings, choose and click the Update & Security option.

 4. Look at the left menu panel of Update & Security. Click the “Recovery” option.

 5. A Recovery menu will appear on the right-side panel of the screen. Look for the “Reset this PC” option. Under it, click the “Get Started” button.

 6. Choose whether you want to remove all the files on your computer or keep them. You should remember that only personal files and data will be saved. The settings and apps on your computer before the reset happens will be removed if you choose to keep your files.

 7. Once everything is done, click the Reset button. A fresh install of your operating system will be processed once you restart your computer.

You might need to create a recovery drive using a USB flash drive if your computer is not working. Your flash drive should have at least 8GB of storage so you can save all the necessary files in reinstalling.
